Recipe - Whole Wheat Waffles
How to start your day right!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 6 Tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar*
  • 420ml buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


 

Directions:

  1. Preheat waffle maker on medium-high heat.

  2. Whisk the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together in a large bowl. Whisk the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl until combined. Pour into dry ingredients and whisk until combined and no large lumps remain.

  3. Pour 1/3 cup of the batter into each well of the waffle maker (or less if your waffle maker is on the smaller side) and close the lid. Cook the waffles until golden brown and crisp.

  4. Serve warm waffles with Honey and fruit of your choice!
